Whit Merrifield
Don't you all get too excited but Whit Merrifield is available if anyone is seeking a versatile bench player/pinch runner. This year his ZiPs projection is .252/.299/.365, 10 HR, 21 SB, 85 OPS+ (0 @ 2B). Last season his projection indicated EX @ Running and VG @ Steals & Jump while he graded out at AV @ 2B, LF & RF and FR @ CF and I would expect similar ratings in 2024. He will have a place on my 26 man roster if he doesn't move but he could be had rather inexpensively ... perhaps along with a bump up from picks #133, #138 or #145 or an interesting but lesser rated prospect ...
