Cubs vs Cardinals

Post by DBacks »

So, for the first time in our storied friendship, Aaron and I will be attending a Cubs vs Cardinals game. You can catch it on ESPN this Sunday Night, as it is the game of the week. If you see an Arab in a Cubs jersey next to a guy in a white sheet and hood, you'll know that's us. Go Cubs Go!

Also, during this crazy weekend here in the Crossroads of America, I will be attending the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. If any of you give a shit about horse racing, which isn't likely, you know its a big deal. It's gonna be a lot of fun and with some luck maybe I'll actually win some money.

Any Derby pics? Anybody been to Busch Stadium or St. Louis and have any suggestions on what we should check out?

Which Cubs jersey should I wear? I've got Lee and Wood. I'm thinking Lee. Maybe my Zambrano and Cedeno jerseys will be in by then.

How much should I make fun of Aaron after the Cardinals lose? Your advice is appreciated.

Not sure if it's still open (I think they were planning on renovating?), but the Cardinals HOF (I think that's the name) should be right across/down the street from the stadium. Quality stuff in there, even for a Cubs fan like yourself. Definitely don't wear Wood. Aaron should be ridiculed endlessly.

In the family, distant from myself, is a very well known horse owner by the name of Patrick Ramsey. He doesn't have a horse in the Derby this year, but he's big time enough to grab some tickets.

I used to go to Foxfields each year I was in DC...I think I saw 1 horse in 3 years - but I did spend a lot of time face down in the grass, clutching cans of beer, making out with college girls, and stealing food from everyone else's tents...

Congrats on going to the Derby.

Horse racing is about the most exciting minute or two I think you can experience, especially with some money riding.

Gabe, wont you be wearing your turbin?
