The Angels centerfielders were busy today. Prospect Garrett Mitchell was the top hitter on the day with a 2 for 3 day with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI. If not for his performance it may have went to his competition Brandon Marsh who went 2 for 2 with a walk to get on base all three times. With hot starts like this, the competition will be close all spring.

Prospect Ronny Mauricio continues his hot streak coming off his DSL Winter League MVP by going deep into the Florida air. Mauricio hit an absolute bomb that woke up the crowd at the end of the game. His one hit traveled 450 feet. When asked about it after the game, Mauricio said it was impressive, but he hit one 507 feet last year.

On a somber day due to Gavin Lux's unfortunate injury, the player of the day goes to Ronny Mauricio who hit another home run into RF. The switch hitting Shortstop was able to clear the wall again with a 108 mph exit velocity shot that drove in two. Mauricio remains a player who still has a lot of work to do, but it is clear their is star potential if he continues to work at his game.
