2023 Braves

Post by Braves »

The 2023 Braves still aren't going to be competing for anything come October but I feel like things are starting to take shape and come together a bit after a multi-year rebuild (of which we probably still have a couple to go). Casas and Jung anchor a really young line-up - Braves hitters with projections average just 24 years old, and the oldest are only 26. There are still multiple questions marks throughout the line-up, but with some of the prospects coming up we hopefully have answers for at least a few of those questions.

Pitching, however, is the current strength of the team. This group also skews young - only 24.9 for the average age - with the oldest guys only being 28. Even after dealing Top 100 arms like Taj Bradley and Owen White, the rest of the young core of starters is beginning to break through with guys like the Hunter Tandem (Green, 114 ERA+ & Brown, 111 ERA+) showing out pretty well last year and looking to build on that success. Add in guys like Ian Anderson, Kyle Harrison, and Edward Cabrera among others and SP is looking pretty good moving forward. The bullpen looks relatively solid as well, led by Alex Vesia and his 122 ERA+.
