Active Roster Size

MLB has active roster to start the year at 28 players. Are we going to follow that or stick with 26 or 25 man from the start of the year?

As always, my vote to mirror what MLB does.

I don’t think we need to do that. It’s only in place to protect against pitcher overuse because of the short spring training. We won’t have that problem.

Good point. Has MLB stated roster will go down to 25 or 26 later? Maybe we just go with that.

Anyone have an objection to 26 max total, 13 max pitchers?

I think we need to think a little (if we haven't yet) about the 13 max pitchers part. I'm generally good with mirroring MLB, however MLB's roster transaction rules are a little different from ours - in part for expediency on our end. While it may be fine I think we should think through whether it makes the job of simming too much of a headache now or in the future and whether the different flexibility puts us as more of a disadvantage with pitchers than MLB.

You may have already thought about that. I haven't and I'm not sure whether there would be any unexpected negative effects for us.
