Seiya Suzuki

Now that Suzuki has signed a five year contract with the real life Chicago Cubs, the IBC White Sox are sort of posting him in the IBC. As this article indicates (https://blogs.fangraphs.com/projecting-seiya-suzuki/), ZiPs projects him to be a 124 OPS+ COF with a strong arm. I think Dan under-projected his defense (0) as he won a gold glove 5 times in Japan but, if that is true, it will be changed in future years. He is only 27 years young so he does fit in my timeline of rebuilding the IBC White Sox, i.e., I don't have to trade him for my team to improve. Right now, he would bat 3rd and, barring injury, play 162 games in LF and RF for me.

I will, however, consider trade offers involving him. My biggest desire is to improve my starting rotation. I will look at 1 for 1 offers or packages involving several players from both teams and/or draft enhancement in 2023 (if that is allowed now ... may not be allowed until after the 2022 IBC draft - which is crawling slowly along) is completed).

I will not be responding to offers today as very soon I intend to listen some good Irish music, enjoy a few good brews, perhaps a car bomb or three and celebrate my wife's heritage. Nor am I in a hurry to make a deal. But if I see an offer that mutually benefits both teams involved we just may get a deal done ... Sláinte!

P.S. By the way, a fairly updated glance at my roster can be found here: viewtopic.php?p=86228#p86228
