Toronto GM

Post by Cardinals »

Z has recommended another person for the league, CJ LaRoche.

He sent this note to me:

I've been a New York Met fan since 1985. The first Met game I remember was Gary Carter's first with the club when he hit a walk off home run against St. Louis on opening day. I am also a big fan of Minor League baseball. Used to go watch Bernie Williams play for the AC Yanks back in the day.

I've been playing fantasy baseball since 2012. I am Co-Commissioner of a dynasty league, est. 2016, I am in a redraft league that was my first ever in 2012 and I am in another keeper league that was just established this season.

Let me know if you need any additional info!
Of the two vacant rosters, he asked to take over Toronto. Thoughts?

I trust Z has a pretty good idea of what it takes to try to be a decent willing GM in this league ... I am happy to give CJ a chance but would caution Z against trying to immediate trades with CJ ...

I don't have a preference. I think Toronto is better positioned/has better assets, but both need love. Give him the option?

Turns out this was a complete bust. I sent CJ a PM in June...he hasn't even opened it. I emailed him two weeks ago -- no response. I know JP has been trying to get him to participate and I think there's been some weak attempt by Z to get him involved, but it's not happening. I think we're at the point of announcing he never got started and we need to recruit.
