That was quick, we haven't even hit tax day and Rich Harden is already scratched from a start. He's supposedly scheduled to pitch Saturday, so maybe this is just a yeast infection.

Rich Harden doesn't think he'll be ready to start Saturday after playing catch Wednesday.
Harden said the strain is under his arm on his right side and that he still feels it when he throws. If he can't go on Saturday, the A's will probably use Lenny DiNardo instead.

JP is lucky he got rid of him when he did... no offense to who took him(rangers?), I think it was a decent gamble on your part.. but Harden is showing himself to be a pussy.

I used to think he was a huge bitch also, and I had a friend that always got hurt and I never could understand how. I had actually never been hurt in my life until this past year and now I understand what they go through. Certain players bodies rehab better then others and certain people cant take the stress that goes into being a professional athlete. Ive been fortunate enough to be able to still play ball and I know the wear and tear that comes along with it. Its not his fault hes injury prone.

Is he really injury prone? Or just a cry baby?
Thats the real question.
I'm not faulting real injuries, or folks who really get hurt. But I believe it was his own organization who called his injuries into question last year, when he didn't want to throw but MRI's, etc showed nothing wrong with him.

I mean, I guess we will never know but if hes really hurt I feel bad for him. When I had my MRI is showed nothing was wrong either......

Wouldn't you think he'd have some Pain killers left over?

Most of my Harden hate comes from all that stuff he was saying about "pressure to come back" even though the A's have really babied him from what I've seen. Remember that even in 2004 (their last year on the roster together) the big three of 28 year old Hudson, 26 year old Mulder and 26 year old Zito were on pitch counts. The organizational philosophy has always been to be very careful with pitchers, so Harden bitching about that and then getting hurt already makes him look pretty bad to me. That being said, Jose Reyes isn't looking to hot either after a slow end to the season, how funny would it be if that trade turned into a monster bust of both guys?

As long as he stays off the DL they can push back as many of his starts as they want for all I care
