COVID IL + IBC

After discussion, ExCo decided that COVID-related IL stint will not require an IBC IL stint. If a player opts out because of health and COVID concerns, that player will remain eligible in the IBC. Pandemic illnesses are not in the spirit of IBC rules, which is why this decision was made.
Other injuries will continue to count and the IL will be honored going forward. For instance, Mitch Haniger was placed on the 60-day IL and is now to be considered injured in the IBC.
We realize that there's not a perfect scenario, but this should be the most fair going forward.
