2020 Season Schedule
Posted: Fri May 08, 2020 9:28 am
We're going to play a full 162 games. Right now, since we do not have an IL to match up with, we are only going to have players who are definitely out for the year injured.
A larger list of players who are out will get posted today. The most difficult part of this are players who underwent Tommy John late last year. The resolution we came up with is if a player had Tommy John last year in July, they can return after 12 calendar months.
Example of players who are out for the season: Luis Severino, Noah Syndergaard, Chris Sale, Andres Munoz, Anderson Espinoza
Example of players who are eligible to return later this season, 12 months after surgery date: Jordan Hicks, David Robertson
We'll make sure a larger list gets posted today, but the IL to start this season is going to be pretty small.
In terms of when we will begin simming, let's shoot for Monday, May 11. Originally, doing one game per day was in the cards since there's no rush. However, if MLB does start up again, we will want to match our ILs again. As such, we'll do catch-up simming like we normally do. This will be less cumbersome since there's no IL for everybody to constantly update.
May 11: March 26-29
May 12: March 30-April 2
May 13: April 3-5
May 14: April 6-9
May 15: April 10-12
May 16: April 13-16
May 17: April 17-19

May 25: May 15-17
May 26: May 18-21
May 27: May 22-24
May 28: May 25-28
May 29: Normal daily sim, with Mondays off
Transactions will continue to be updated for Thursday and Sunday databases, and occur in real-time. Meaning, if you trade for a player on real-life May 11th, the player will be added to your database for May 14 in real life, and you'll have the player going forward in the sim.
