Finally picked one up today. PS3 wasn't really an option since I wanted to play Halo, my hands are too big for those damn tiny controllers, and my buddy I'm moving in with has a blu-ray player. I got Halo 3 and Assassin's creed, and will probably get a baseball game (The Show from what you guys said in the other thread) and the next Madden (of course).
Any suggestions for other games people have played? Is the Orange Box worth getting? I liked the WWII games for xbox, so if you've played any of the next-gen games like Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, etc. I'd be interested to hear how they were.

The show is PS3 exclusive. If you want a baseball game you are going to have to go with MLB 2k8. I just got it, overall it is pretty solid and franchise mode rocks, but there are a few issues that make it truly a must own sports game imo.

I guess 2k8 it is. And yes, I will create my IBC Marlins in franchise mode. Do they have all-time teams?

Is MLB2k8 on Wii? I haven't had my Wii on in 6 weeks I bet, but I have no desire to complete The Godfather since I've eliminated the other families

dunno, but even though I had godfather for my xbox and barely played it, I'll probably get the 360 version b/c it's a video game version of the friggin' godfather, and that's awesome.

I have to use the 2007 schedule, which blows, and Johan is a Twin...double wammy.
overall, it looks like the same game I played 2 years ago, but the graphics are good.

I used to just play halo all the time but since i got Call of Duty 4 it is unreal. I dont know a single person who doesnt love that game. Its slow at 1st since you cant get some of the better weapons until you rank up in multiplayer mode however the graphics are unreal. I got rid of assasins creed, it was fun but it was way too slow.

The reviews of Call of Duty 4 are off the charts, and even though I liked the WWII titles, I was hesitant at first to pick it up b/c I never was big on games like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six, which are modern war games. Seems worth checking out at this point tho.

CoD4 is great. I've also always enjoyed the Half-Life game but have yet to play Orange Box, if it's anything like the others it'll be good. Assassin's Creed is good but get repetitive real fast - I stopped playing after the 3rd mission I think.
As for other games, Mass Effect is abso-fucking-lutely amazing, but be prepared to put in about 35-40 hours of gameplay to beat it. Well worth it though! I'm working on that now and have Devil May Cry 4 and Lost (the video game) in the queue. As for "older" 360 games, I'd recommend Gears of War too....

Ah yeah. Gears of War looked awesome. Forgot about that one. My favorite game for xbox (besides the brothers in arms series, which I loved) was Ninja Gaiden. I hope a version of that comes out for 360.

Oblivion is the shit. I have it for PS3 and I love it. But you have to like RPGs and you have to be willing to put in about 80 hours.

Yea Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is awesome too - I have the PC version, I just don't have enough time to actually play it....stupid work & not having enough time for video games....

I had that game for xbox, and it seemed really cool, but I've never been a huge RPG guy and as awesome of a game as it was, I lost interest when I realized how many hours I'd need to put in to get anywhere. Beautiful looking game though.

I don't even play the single player for call of duty anymore. If those the graphics for single player are slightly better then the multiplayer and just the effects are unreal, the multiplayer is what its all about imo.

Call of Duty 4 is awesome. I played it at my buddy's right after he got it and was blown away. There's a new Star Wars game that's coming out that seems pretty awesome.
I showed the Woltz scene from The Godfather in class the other day, where he wakes up with the horse head in his bed, to try and give the students an example of extortion since we were talking about organized crime, and my teacher got pissy. The students liked it, but I wasn't able to show it anymore. Live and learn I guess
