lunar eclipse tonight

Post by DBacks »

for anyone who doesn't know there is a lunar eclipse tonight that's actually going on right now. at 10 pm, at least here in florida, the moon will turn bright red . also visible tonight will be saturn just off to the side of the moon. they say with even low level telescopes you should be able to see its rings.

check it out if you can. I think they said it happens like this once every five years but I could be wrong.

I saw it, was about 80-95% covered in blood red. Saw Saturn and one of the other stars mentioned, I forget which as well. It was pretty baller.

Being on the West coast, I imagine I can kick it here at work for a while longer and still get a good show later on the way home. I'll have to keep checking out the window to see when it starts here on the West Coast.

It's clear here, but some low lying cloud cover keeps passing in front of the moon. Kind of vampire movie creepy like.....
