He's on the MLB Mets - so technically he should be eligible now. Doesn't excuse his status while a free agent though.

Kemp was placed on the IL on 4/23 with a broken rib, then released by the Reds on 5/4. He was signed by the Mets on 5/24 while still injured. Reports are that he will play some minor league rehab games once healthy, which hasn't happened yet. He hasn't appeared in a game anywhere since 4/21.
