Wow, so you think A-rod will actually walk? I can see a situation where it would happen (Boras reading the market ala th Drew situation and A-rod not winning over the fans, though what he has t do to win them over is beyond me) but I dunno, that's an awful lot of dough to walk away from.

A-Rod and NY get along about as well as things that don't get along very well.
I was talking with some other Yanks fans in the office, and we all agreed that we would have taken the figgins/santana/prospect deal for ARod. We know it's 50 cents on the dollar, but it shores up the back end of our rotation, gives us a legit #9 batter ahead of Damon/Jeter, adds to the stockpile of trade piece prospects the Yanks have, AND it's not like the Yanks are wanting for middle of the order hitters. Damon, Jeter, Cano, Posada, Matsui, Abreu and Giambi could hit in the middle of the order for just about any team in the league.
