We're pretty far into the draft now. Can we all just turn on draft ques and get this done soon?

Some teams, like myself, haven't even picked yet...so I have to make them all count. But, I also check every hour to see if i'm up...which is quite annoying when teams take 24 hours to pick.

What's wrong with the 12 hour clock between 9am & midnight...at least that will guarantee 3 picks every 2 days instead of 1 a day.

This pace is painstacking awful ... heck, we may as well allow trading of all picks at this rate ...

Pick trading is illegal

The draft is going so slow because nobody is using the queue system that was provided. I've used it for my last two picks, but I'm the only one to use it so far. When my pick gets close, I queue 2 or 3 players, and turn it on. Pretty simple stuff...

What's the problem? We're halfway through the draft and haven't had a skip yet. Quit your whining because you have to wait between picks. And use the queue I poured blood, sweat and tears into! John, a clock like that is a pain in the ass for me to handle, which is one of the major reasons we're not doing it.

I know I've been one of the long pick time offenders (family commitments and just starting a new job), but I think the draft has been moving pretty quickly compared to some that I've seen. It's only been official for what, 12 days? We're already mid-round 3. First round took forever but it not awful by this league's standards.

Exactly--I was just thinking that this has been a pretty dang efficient draft...and then I saw the snivelings and bitchings here.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Harvey signed by the 8/15 deadline. That would make him ineligible for this draft. With no draft and follow anymore, he can't sign before the next MLB draft like Scherzer did last year.
2. A player will be returned to the draft pool for the next season under the following conditions. If the player was drafted by an MLB team and does not sign a new contract before the next MLB draft (the 2007 MLB draft in the example above).

My comment was said in jest and designed, during this rather slow time, to get a knee jerk reaction from Bren - which it did! It was not supposed to be a "sniveling and/or bitching" comment so I am sorry if you considered it to be.

He can still be drafted, but since he's failed to sign and obviously won't be on a team, he won't be eligible to be kept for more than 11 months or so, making it a useless pick entirely

Because Harvey didn't sign, he is not eligible to enter the MLB draft again for three more years, which is after his Junior year, unless he transfers to a junior college.
