While I agree people tuned out in the 5th round and probably should've turned on auto draft, we crushed the first four rounds.

Debatable.

Can you imagine if we did this like a FF draft? All in 1 day? 2 mins per pick?

I wonder how different the drafts would be with that kind of pressure. :)

Seeing how we have nothing to do and no one is really trading, I'm fine with how long this takes. People taking 24 hours sucks but what are you gonna do?

Seemed like we only had a few reaally long time slots. But, the last bit has dragged some. But I agree with Nick...what's the rush?

yeah, I mean, people get 24 hours for a reason. If you want to take 23h 45m, go for it. Sucks in the first few rounds, though. It's not like the ZiPS disc will be out any time soon anyway.

By comparison, 2015 draft ended on 2/2.
2014 draft also ended on 2/2.

Those drafts started 1/1, so we've definitely crushed the pace from the last couple years.

I wasn't here, but those drafts also had more picks right? So 31 days vs. 22 and counting with fewer picks in total?

Because when I checked in yesterday afternoon I was still 3-4 picks away...went out drinking with friends after work...wake up this morning and find I have been on the clock for 16 hours :)

Yeah, but those extra picks went by relatively quickly. Talking about an extra 5-10 picks per draft.

Yes, just because I am dick to you doesn't mean other people don't appreciate my humor ;)

Oh, there's no rush.. I was just thinking what it would be like if we did this more of a timed draft with minutes between picks, how differently it would go.

BTW JP, Love the Burnes pick - especially this late in the draft. Well done.

This is also the point in time where Bren takes 24 hours on a pick and gets skipped. I could have called the Stephen one. They both do that every year at around this point.

Say what...Hudson took me an hour last year...Varga was 8 the year before but I didn't go on the clock until that morning and I am on the West Coast. The only thing you can blame me for is bugging out the system with apostrophized names ;)

To be fair I was expecting that from Bren's previous pick and he picked quickly.

I think Bren simply hasnt been near a computer and cant draft from his phone. I hear that's a popular excuse...

If only someone invented something that allowed you to organize your picks in the order you want if you're going to be indisposed...

...yeah - and even better, if there was a way to have your picks made automatically when you slot comes up based on this organizer tool.

Thanks for the reminder. Next year I'll make sure I get all my picks done right on time, at 23h 59m.

Is the draft over? Twins were on this morning to sign and drop a player. Didn't draft even though they've been on the clock for 14 hours, really 38 hours, since the M's 2nd straight skip.
