Had to laugh when I read this as in the most recent print edition of BA (received today but dated 12/17/07 thru 1/13/08 ) Jim Callis notes that Seth Smith was number 11 on the Rockies list:

... Blocked by Matt Holliday and Brad Hawpe on Colorado's outfield corners, Smith has a career .311 average in the minors and has used his strong arm to register 44 assists over the last three years.

Outside of steals, I targeted Smith because he actually reminded me a little of Shane Victorino - solid minor league #'s that actually got BETTER w/ each level he hit...I think Smith's got a good shot to be a starter - for a team that doesn't start Holliday and Hawpe on the corners...

Smith is just one of those guys that scouts will never love because of his skill set. Bottom line is that he's produced in his short career.
