The Pats did well to go as far as they did. Welker's hit was illegal but not necessarily dirty. That happens all the time and the Pats do it more than most. If Talib doesn't get hurt, its just another pick play that the refs didn't catch. I was yelling at the tv as soon as it happened since the ref just called one on us and Welker didn't really try to hide it.

I'm amazed they made it without Mayo, Wilfork, Gronk, etc. etc.

Ready for pitchers and catchers.

Yup, definitely an illegal hit, but I wouldn't call it dirty. Whether it was intentional, only Welker could ever speak to that and he certainly isn't going to say it was (unless he likes paying fines to the NFL).
