David Huff has agreed to a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball.
Huff put up strong numbers for the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization between 2016-2017 and has now landed himself a fairly lucrative deal in Japan. The 33-year-old left-hander pitched for the Indians, Yankees, Giants, Dodgers, and Angels over parts of eight major league seasons.

O'Koyea Dickson has signed a contract with the Rakuten Golden Eagles of Nippon Professional Baseball.
No word yet on the term length or financial details. Dickson elected to become a free agent in November after being outrighted off the Dodgers' 40-man roster. The 27-year-old corner outfielder put up good numbers last season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, including an .811 OPS and 24 home runs in 116 games. He should fare well in the power-friendly Japanese league.

Marcos Grunfeld of Sports Venezuela reports that
Adonis Garcia has agreed to a deal with the LG Twins in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Financial terms are not yet known. There were rumors of Garcia heading to play internationally earlier in December, and it appears we now know where. The 32-year-old Cuban infielder showed flashes of talent in his time with the Braves, but he also struggled badly with consistency. Garcia batted just .237/.273/.347 in 52 games last season while missing three months with a torn ligament in his left ring finger. Barring a resurgence in the KBO, his time as a major leaguer is likely over.

Dillon Gee has signed on to play with the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball.
Financial terms have yet to be disclosed. Gee appeared in 18 games for the Twins last year -- four of them starts -- and finished with a 3.47 ERA and a 41/15 K/BB ratio in 49 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old right-hander has also pitched for the Mets, Royals, and Rangers over parts of seven major league seasons. Assuming it's not a multi-year deal, he could see a much stronger market in MLB free agency next winter if he pitches well in Japan in 2018.

Free agent starter
Nick Martinez signed a one-year, $1.8 million contract with Nippon-Ham Fighters.
Martinez reportedly spurned multiple MLB offers to sign in Japan, although the $1.8 is likely more guaranteed money than he would have found over here. Martinez is still just 27 years old and could use a good year to try to re-establish value. He owns a career 4.77 ERA in four seasons in the majors.

Xavier Scruggs will return for a second season with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Scruggs, a former part-timer with the Cardinals and Marlins, excelled in the power-friendly KBO in 2017, slashing .300/.402/.595 with 35 home runs and 111 RBI in 115 games. He'll get a $1.3 million salary for the 2018 campaign after earning $1 million last season. The 30-year-old first baseman and corner outfielder was a .227/.292/.303 career hitter in 130 major league plate appearances with St. Louis and Miami between 2014-2016.

A report out of South Korea has indicated that
Wei-Chung Wang has agreed to terms with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Wang earned his way back onto the Brewers' 40-man roster this past season with a strong showing at Triple-A following a move to the bullpen, but he struggled in his brief time with the big club. The left-hander will turn just 26 in April.
