My sources are telling me it was a tainted batch of one-a-day vitamins and really had no effect on his performance.

Suuuure... the old "tainted supplement" story. Someday someone who actually did take a tainted supplement is gonna be screwed by all the users crying wolf. You'd think these guys could maybe pull someone aside at GNC and ask what's in the stuff they're buying.

Seriously. Is it so hard for the MLB/NFL/NBA to fund a lab that tests each of these supplements so that they can put an OK for use label on them and we can end the tainted supplement debate?

Because there isn't e'nuff Hernandez already in this league (17 and counting ...) and because I like his 84/23 K/BB with a 3.06 ERA in 85.1 IP at AA folowed by his 11/3 with a 0.00 ERA in 11 IP in the AFL so far ... Besides my real life White Sox need able bodied relief pitchers who can get the job done. If he can and does then both the south siders and the IBC Mets will be happy!
