"#@%$!&*!?!"

which roughly translates to:

"Fucking son of a shitfucking fuckbird, godammit!"

Another season, same fucking movie. That crooked fur-trapper Starkey and his Bucs in 5 games. Mike Trout can suck a fucking fuck. And Felix too.

Most painful memory will definitely be Game 2. Salazar K's 12 in 6 IP and the Marlins are ahead 3-1 and looking at sweeping the first 2 games on the road. Trout predictably rips the game-winning double off Rodney in the 7th. Prob shoulda brought in Benoit there. Ouch.

2023 GM Totals: 1780 W - 1460 L | 0.549 wpct | 89-73 (avg 162 G record)

Hats off to Hamlin for a good first year in the NL, but the Pirates advanced to the World Series after sweeping the NLCS.

Tip of the cap to Pat and his Tigers on a very good season, but Brett's Rangers advanced to the World Series for the third time in the last four years, and the fifth time in franchise history. Texas bested Detroit 4-1 in the ALCS.

The Rangers will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates in the World Series.

A few fun facts for the upcoming IBC World Series...

Regardless of the outcome, JB will have to scoot over, as either Brett or I will take home a third title, which will tie JB for most in league history.

With the pennant, Brett has now won three of the last four AL titles, and four pennants overall. The four pennants is tied with Nils for second-most all-time in the IBC.

With my pennant, I've now won a league-high five pennants, and will look to avoid joining Nils in the 3 lost World Series club. Nils lost in 2002 with the Cubs to Nick, 2004 to JB with the Giants and 2009 to Brett with the Giants. Previously, I lost in 2003 to Bren with the D'Backs in 7 games, and lost to JB in 2011 with the Pirates in 7 games.

If the Pirates can win four more times this year, it will be the first time in IBC history that a team has won three times in a four season span, and the second-ever repeat. JB won back-to-back titles in 2010-11, defeating Ken and myself.

If the Rangers win the World Series, Brett will have two titles in three seasons, and three in the last 7.

One last fun fact:

This is the first-ever World Series rematch in league history. (2012)
