Is it really that cool for the other 18 teams?Pirates wrote:
It's kind of cool that 162 games have been played and 12 IBC teams are still alive. Good luck to everybody.

But in few years I might be walking out 4 Aces...so whatever.

Brett's Rangers squeaked by Pat's Tigers, winning 3-2. All four series went to five games here.
The 2012 ALCS will be a rematch of the 2009 ALCS, when Brett was in Detroit. That was the last time somebody defeated JB in the playoffs.
Likewise, the 2012 NLCS is a rematch of the 2010 NLDS, when the Pirates took out the D'Backs in five games.

Congrats to Brett for knocking off JB in the playoffs. JB hadn't lost in the playoffs since Brett beat him in the ALCS in 2009. Needless to say, pretty awesome run for JB.
It'll be Brett's second trip to the World Series. The other, obviously, coming in 2009 when he beat Nils' Giants in six games.
This year's World Series will be my third (2003 D'Backs, 2011 Pirates), and I've come up short in seven games (and by one run) in both of them.
