If you like country music but hate what is on the radio, I suggest listening to Texas/Red Dirt Country. Its guys out of Texas that play like it is the 1990s still. Randy Rogers Band and Wade Bowen are both great, saw them at the Ryman in Nashville on my birthday

I'm down with Phantogram

Phantogram is occasionally played on SiriusXM AltNation, they (she?) are pretty good.

Lately I just listen to the Comedy Central station on SiriusXM. Just comedy bits all day long. Occasionally I get to look like a psychopath when I giggle to myself while looking at technical documents.

Nice call on Das Racist. I hadn't really heard anything about these dudes since their really good 2010 album, which is worth getting a hold of if you like them:

Here's a few bands in my spotify playlist a lot lately...

Bass Drum of Death - 2 dudes from Mississippi that play guitar and drums and totally rip. Kinda hi-speed, less bluesy Black Keys-ish with a little more punk to it. I saw these guys at Great Scott in Allston for $9 (along with DZ Deathrays) with maybe 15-20 people there and they tore it up anyway.

Crawling After You
Bad Reputation
Left for Dead
Lose My Mind (from 2014 album)

Palma Violets - British garage rock/pop band. A lot depends on their sophomore album. They could become something more interesting, or they could turn into a sucky british pop act. Here are a few tunes from a really good album they made last year called 180.

Best of Friends
Chicken Dippers

Generationals - Another two-piece. These dudes are from New Orleans and write some catchy shit. Their most recent album, Heza, is definitely worth a download. A few from that one.

Put a Light On
Spinoza
Kemal

Jungle - London duo has kind of a cool updated Jamiroquai thing with good beats, and the video is cool.

The Heat

For a strange, yet oddly pleasing XMU type band -

Sylvan Esso

also picked up the new Father John Misty yesterday - but yet to pop it in.

Most-played album of the year? Sleater-Kinney's "No Cities to Love"

also worth checking out, Big Data

Andrew, I am liking what I hear from Big Data so far.

But currently, I'm kinda stuck on Royal Blood - Royal Blood. Overall self titled album is excellent IMO.

edit..

Just read a bit more about Royal Blood - a 2 piece! Whoa.. I'm even more blown away.
