It's not about harming or problems, it's about making the league better and part of that is being open to new ideas. Just because something has worked in the past doesn't mean it will always work in the future. This isn't about change for the sake of change, most of these are things which probably would have been changed long ago if not for your opposite stance on nearly everything and the fact that you had previously ruled as a singular individual. Now that we have a say in it, this stuff is coming to a head because for once we actually can change it, instead of having to convince you to change it.RedSox wrote:I'm curious, what problems has the rule changed? I think you guys have gotten carried away with the idea of change for the sake of change.

I really hate when this happens but I agree with Bren. People who don't want prospects, don't use the spots. We're past the point where a team can survive long term without prospects, even if you don't want them they become a necessary evil to make trades work. I also don't see how it makes the league better to allow 50 open roster spots, remember that the talent pool in the free agent market is already thin enough, suppose each team uses the new rule to add just two more non draftee prospects, that would be the 60 top free agents out of the free agent pool, is that really something that's good for the league considering how little talent is out there already? I agree that we shouldn't just have rules for the sake of having rules, but I also don't think we should remove rules that are already in place and have been fine for years unless there is a damn good reason, and I have yet to see such a reason put forth to get rid of the draft roster restrictions. It's one more thing you have to manage, and that's not a bad thing.
