Funny, I had to sign a 8/9 the other day, and it came down to Phelps and your boy Soto. I wanted the AA Phelps, but Soto had the '09 on his side.

Yeah, I'd been watching Phelps as well. Being at AA was definitely part of it. Soto has a lot going for him, young, room to pack on some pounds, lefty. I asked Goldstein and Badler about him but I never heard back from Goldstein and Badler only takes waste of time questions like "Who is a better prospect, Chapman or Straasburg?" when he chats so I resorted to a rule of thumb - if a young pitcher dominates offhanded pitching but is mediocre against same handed hitters, likely his fastball isn't great and there's a good chance his best pitch is his change or he has advanced 'pitchability' so I figured I could let him go.
