What the heck? He wasn't supposed to hit like that this year.

David Ortiz, 1B: 299 AB, .278/.392/.495, 57 R, 17 HR, 57 RBI

Carl Crawford, CF/LF: 320 AB, .297/.361/.447, 61 R, 8 HR, 39 RBI, 5 3B, 33 SB

Hideki Matsui, LF: 217 AB, .336/.421/.553, 40 R, 6 HR, 37 RBI, 19 2B

Geovany Soto, C: 275 AB, .316/.361/.542, 40 R, 13 HR, 51 RBI, 19 2B

Ian Kinsler, 2B: 312 AB, .276/.343/.468, 49 R, 10 HR, 48 RBI, 26 2B, 6 SB

Jeremy Affeldt, CL: 1.80 ERA/ 0.94 WHIP, 35.1 IP, 23 H, 10 BB, 24 K, 5 GDP, 21/23 SV/SVO

Affeldt has easily been the MVP of my pitching staff so far. With Scherzer and Verlander underperforming, Sheets on the shelf, and McGowan and Miller's young careers in jeopardy, there are no real All-Star candidates from the Marlins rotation, so the LH closer is our best bet. Affeldt's .169/.250/.241 line vs RH batters has made him the lockdown closer the Fish lacked last season w/ Trevor Hoffman in the role.

2023 GM Totals: 1780 W - 1460 L | 0.549 wpct | 89-73 (avg 162 G record)
