The bug hit this trade as well, however, I fixed both the trade and the bug, so should be all set going forward.

that that trade is beyond ridiculous. Other then Dejesus the one guy is in A+ ball and the other is 25 and has a few innings in AA.

young and dejesus' numbers are very comparable, with dejesus having a slightly better year in terms of average and OBP. he is also younger and is a very solid defensive OFer. i needed a SS, he needed an OFer, so that part of the deal is not really beyond ridiculous. the second part of the deal, madson for another reliever and a good prospect, may favor my side a bit but not by much, just like the first part of the deal favored ropers, but not by much. what you see as beyond ridiculous is a little beyond me.

This 24-year-old (Mijares) made a remarkable comeback in 2008 after fracturing his pitching elbow in a January car accident in his native Venezuela. He returned to the mound in late June and reached the big leagues by September. The left-hander had a 2.70 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 36 2/3 Minor League innings before posting a 0.87 ERA in 10 appearances for Minnesota. In his last full season, 2007, he fanned 81 in 69 2/3 innings (mostly at New Britain) and limited hitters to a .194 average.

Zach McAllister had a 110/29 K/BB in A and A+ to go along with his 2.22 ERA and 1.04WHIP. Hell start at AA next year.

i must be crazy but it looks like a good deal to me.

I think you summed the deal up Nick.

Jake is just being a sour puss.

You had every opportunity to offer something of value and didn't so I don't know what you are bitching about.

Young is a 34 year old SS, who hits well, but is also helped by his home park.

DeJesus is a 29 year old CFer who hits for a similar average and is coming off a better season.

Both play premium defensive position.

Madson is a quality set up arm.

Mijares should get a solid projection against lefties and McAllister is described as a groundball machine and has the upside of a middle rotation starter or downside of essentially Ryan Madson.

Nick needed a SS, I needed a LFer.

I add another lefty to my pen and the upside of a solid prospect. Nick adds a solid right hander to him pen.

If you wanted either one of them you had every opportunity to offer more and didn't.

So what are you bitching about? It still just sounds to me like you are being a sour.
