Sorry, I thought someone had notified you, it's being left as is. The rules are public, you should have picked up on it in your research that he wasn't eligible.

Pretty dick, but whatever.
I should've expected nothing less. Half the guys draft at this point will be cut by next offseason anyway, but when the league has a chance to show class and character, they chose a different path.
It's a done issue, but truely disappointing...especially the communication.

How is it dick? You made the choice to draft Harvey. Did you do any homework in checking Harvey at all to see what happened to him, or did you just read some May 2007 article that he was a premium talent? Did you check to see if he was signed? No.
You accept no responsibility for a matter that you had complete control over. You didn't even say "oops, this guy didn't sign" once the pick was made. Others had to point out he wasn't playing pro ball.
The list of players on the OOPSS was everybody that was drafted. Not everybody that was signed. It's not Shawn's responsibility to weed out those players so that this doesn't happen but the GM's responsibility to check to make sure a player has signed before drafting him, which involves marginal work. If you didn't know the rule had changed for players signing, that's also your fault. We've all been in sim leagues for a fair amount of time and it's not our job to babysit you.
If it's a player that will be cut in the longrun then who cares? I'm glad we're classless and lack character but you go ahead and say "pretty dick." I'll let that speak for itself.

I agree the communication could, and should, have been handled better. However, Harvey was YOUR mistake. Not knowing the rules is NOT an excuse, particularly when they're publicly available (right at the top of every page). You should have known the rules and you should have known Harvey wasn't eligible.

It's fine that the league doesn't want to make exceptions. I take full responsibility for the pick. I said I screwed up. I did as much research as I had time to do this offseason. It's not going to be the deciding factor of me making the postseason or not next season....
My problem is with the league making a decision, but nobody telling me what that decision was. That's what I was calling out. I had to wait 3-4 days wondering if I was going to have another pick or not.

For the record, that pick should be Brandon Hamilton - it lists him as Joey, it will not let me input him as Brandon, and the birthdays match. Shawn, can you change "Joey" to "Brandon"? Thanks!

Taking a flyer on Jim Callis' NL Sleeper pick from the draft. Joel Zumaya injury aside, this kid has great "stuff".

Thanks, I didn't think he was going to be there for my next pick.
