Cederoth and deCarr were the next two guys in my queue if I didn't take Carbonell - and they were the next two guys drafted. Glad to see I'm valuing players correctly at this stage.
I can one-up that; Carbonell was next on my list at 98 followed by Cederoth with deCarr also up there. It's good to see but also a bit frustrating to watch some guys I'd hoped would drop another 10 spots get snapped up.

Consider me shocked that we had to skip Gabe at this point in the draft.

I'm not shocked...it's Gabe and prospects. I'm all for instituting a 12-hour draft rule past the third round, but it won't happen.

Everyone should consider it an improvement that I made it this far.
A quick reminder that deals involving players drafted as part of this draft can't be considered by the TRC until both teams have declared they are done drafting.

And what does everyone have to do that's so critical that the draft taking an extra day (or an extra week) is such a big deal?

The answer is that it saps the fun out of it for it to drag on and to not get to pick for a long time.
But I can't really talk right now since I went like seven hours without checking and the two guys in front of me went bang, bang quickly after the previous two.

It's a 3+ week process, it's never going to be zippy. Just look at any delay as a chance to do more research and waffling.

It's only a 3+ week process because we take that long, not because it must take a certain amount of time. I'm not that bothered by the pace, just telling you why people groan when someone takes 24 hours.
