Man, its been a while. Busy with house stuff, preparing to move, work, family..
Well I'm dropping this in. My company has now added playlist ability to our FREE streaming service. And I've made a playlist.
10 of my current favorite tunes, some dark, dubby techno/tech house that moves into the more progressive and melodic. Most of you probably won't listen, but maybe some will. Enjoy.

Bought a new record player and just dropped a ton of $'s on vinyl. My favorite is The Who album I got, 'The Who Hits 50!'. Crazy good...also playing a lot of Green Day 'Dookie', Otis Redding's blue album, & 2 Pac's 'All Eyez on Me'...so much fun.

Hello again.. Its been quite a while. Again.. Music hasn't been my focus these past few months..
Today.. I'm listening to Bloc Party's new one.
What can I say.. Quite the departure from their normal stuff. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at all given what I heard of the opening track which was leaked a few months back. And I still don't like that opening track.. But overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with the album overall. I'd give it a solid B. Definitely worth a listen or two.. or three(which I'm on now..). But after this, I'm going back to Silent Alarm/Weekend In The City to get some true classic Bloc Party in today.
Glad I got to see these guys live before they put this one out though. Got to see the Bloc Party I know and love live. They were one of the most phenomenal shows I've ever seen live. Too bad the turmoil was too much and that incarnation of the band seems done.

Highly Suspect - Mister Asylum
https://open.spotify.com/album/7wGLeeJt18EBjc181FP2cM
A bit of a Kings of Leon vocal kind of sound mixed with some Royal Blood.. a bit bluesy, solid, rock N roll album. If you like just good ol' fashioned rock n roll, check this album out. Kick. Ass.

I missed out on Highly Suspect a couple months ago when they were in Louisville. They're back at the end of the month but its the same night as my poker night. So I'll just have to hope they make it back this summer

Conrad Keely - Original Machines
https://open.spotify.com/album/6UT6YPNZrxA9GPTw7CSYBy
Conrad Keely - lead singer of AYWKUBTTOD.. or for those unfamiliar.. And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. This is his solo album. 24 tracks of short and sweet wonderful tunes. Its a bit all over the spectrum here in feeling, but comes together well at the same time. Far more contained than anything AYWKUBTTOD does.. Its a solid departure from that sound for me, far less anthemic in parts... I am definitely impressed with this release. Have found a lot of good music today and this might be the best album I've listened to all day.

Hey guys,
I've started doing a monthly playlist for work. These are not just for "fun"(even though they've been great fun putting them together). These are actually featured playlists for our streaming site. I sure would appreciate it, if you have time, if you could give this a listen or two..
Month of Feb:

Month of March:

Cheers!

Did anyone listen to this? It might be the worst fucking podcast I've ever heard.. The comments on the link are pretty great.

Been listening to the mixed version of "Late Night Tales presents Sasha: Scene Delete" at least 2 to 3 times a week now for the last few weeks. Its a stunning mix, and if you love dance music(and perhaps even if you don't this mix might be one for you, as its not straight 4 to the floor stuff..) and have yet to listen - you shouldn't delay. Just make sure you have a wonderful set of headphones or speakers to listen on.
Its not as layered and complex as his previous LP, Airdrawndagger - its more refined and reigned in - each track on their own, some may not stand up, but as a mix the whole album comes together in beautiful, blissful, melodic harmony.

A label I used to distribute are currently doing a live stream from the top of Tower Bridge in London with a couple of artists who go by CamelPhat.. They were the top artists on our website last year. Kind of a cool moment, they went all out for this one, even have a Defected Records helicopter out filming.
