Doing the trade or not wasn't going to stop me from making the playoffs either way. The point is everyone freaks out about deals way before we know how they will turn out. Re: January 2024 Trades
If its a giant stinking turd of a deal, it doesn't matter if the dumb luck of an injury makes it slightly more even later on. The criticism is about the lopsided value of the players at the time they were traded. That has not changed because Williams got hurt after the deal was made. Duping other GMs into shitty deals is your modus operandi. Just embrace it and stop trying to justify lopsided trades when people grouse about it. It improves your team within the rules, so why do you care so much if other people think its shitty? Own it.Guardians wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 1:52 pmDoing the trade or not wasn't going to stop me from making the playoffs either way. I don't dupe anyone into trades, Dan. I know you've been on the wrong side of big deals so you don't trade anymore. But you actually can't make another GM make a trade in this league. Both sides need to agree on value. Also, shockingly, people disagree on player value. I just find it laughable when a handful of people bitch and moan about every single one of my trades. Just like you can complain, I can't point out how ridiculous the complaining is.Orioles wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 2:12 pmIf its a giant stinking turd of a deal, it doesn't matter if the dumb luck of an injury makes it slightly more even later on.
