24 hour manual time limit

Post by Royals »

The draft timer isn't quite ready yet so the ExCo will be manually enforcing a 24 hour time limit until it is ready. An announcement will be forthcoming regarding the time limit for once the timer is ready.

What happens, is the pick skipped over at the limit and the team can then make a selection later?

In the past they'd get skipped, but could come in at any time and make their selection, which was a bit messy sometimes. I think last year we'd talked about changing that to the team getting skipped and then they could make up the pick at the end of the draft, but I don't know if that was ever actually implemented.

With Shawn's new draft system, there is no reason for anyone to ever miss their pick.

When they do, the plan currently is for them to be able to make their pick at any point in time after the pick is missed.
