Royals need to decide

Do I try to trade my 1st rounder. Maybe with Heston Kjerstad to try to push for that 2nd wild card spot. Do I stay put and if it happens it happens. Or do I trade some pieces and play for next year.

1st rd pick(right now I believe it’s 13 or 14)
Heston Kjerstad
Durbin Feltman
Brett Conine
Travis D’arnaud
Wade Miley(having a great year in MLB probably going to be close to a 4 WAR season)

These guys are available to upgrade my team for the stretch run. SP, OF and 2B are biggest needs. Any big bat will help though as I can DH him.

If I decide to play for next year the following guys would be available.
Clayton Kershaw
Anthony Rizzo
Drew Pomeranz
Ryan Yarbrough
Marco Gonzales
Kevin Pillar(VG def rating in all 3 OF spots and some pop)
Lorenzo Cain(EX def rating and been my most consistent hitter)
Marwin Gonzalez(super utility guy. Everything but Catcher)

And I would consider offers on Brantley and Machado but most likely wouldn’t move. Value both of them very high.

So make me an offer. Send me one way or the other.

Well it looks like I went the route of playing for next year. I do feel like I still have a chance at 2nd wild card spot this year with the right breaks.

Catcher Sam Huff is available for trade. I would be looking for a similar ranked prospect at a different position or a 3B or a SP.

I would move Nick Castellanos even though I just got him. If it brought a 3B or 2B or an OF with better D. Not looking for a defense first guy, I’m just willing to sacrifice some offense for defense. Castellanos absolutely rakes and I can DH him if I need to.

Heston Kjerstad is also still available along with any other prospect not named Baz or Meyer and I’d also trade Cleveland’s 1st Rd pick.
