Cincinnati Reds
After nearly 15 years in the league, Ken has decided to step down as the Reds' GM. It's unfortunate to lose any GM midseason, but especially unfortunate when it's somebody as tenured as Ken was.
We're now up to three vacancies. Toronto, Anaheim and now Cincinnati. Please assist in recruiting for these spots. We need to fill these spots with smart and active GMs.

Not thrilled with what's going on. We are on our 20th season and have three vacancies. I like Ken a good bit, but quitting because you don't like a trade after 15 years? Come one - we're all friends here, if you have an issue with the way the league is going, let's talk about it. Let's come up with a solution. Don't just quit. Let's figure out our flaws and improve. Maybe after we do that, we work on the vacancies. I'm more concerned about the guys that are here now, including Ken who we shouldn't let leave. I'm not willing to let this league die after 20 friggin years - I still love it.

Re: Cincinnati Reds
Is Ken leaving because of the Twins/Pirates trade? Have you confirmed that or is that an assumption? Curious to know.
Re: Cincinnati Reds
He did make a comment to that effect, but I'm sure that couldn't have been the only reason.

Re: Cincinnati Reds
I back up everything said in this thread.
I think we should reach out to Ken in a coordinated way...just to make sure it was because of this so we aren't just piling on for other, more personal reasons.
I'm here because I like talking baseball with you fine gentlemen WAY more than I am the wins and losses...but agree we should hear Ken out on his issues if he's willing to engage.

Re: Cincinnati Reds
Ken has asked to rejoin the league so I will let him speak for himself as he has plenty of thoughts and ideas.
We still have two vacancies.

Thanks. I’ll post something later tonight, or tomorrow morning.

Don't worry Ken, JP still can't beat me...
Re: Cincinnati Reds
If there's any legitimate reason to quit this league, its JB.
