Appears that LHP Glenn Gibson is that PTBNL. Nice trade for the Rays ...Giants wrote:And Dukes has been traded to Washington for a player to be named ...
The following was in the Rays press release:
"We have been committed to providing Elijah the support needed to get his personal and professional life back on track," said Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman. "He has made progress, and a logical next step is a change of cities and a fresh start for him and his family."

Seems like a wordy but nice way to say 'We finally got rid of this wacko!'

If Elijah was bad news in Tampa (I know he has childhood friends there), DC won't be much better. There's lots of opportunities for trouble there too.
He'd be better off in Canada, where he can't get into anything fun.

He can fall into the wrong crowd anywhere. I was merely being coy by thinking of the most boring place with a baseball franchise.
Curious observation though.
