Elijah Dukes apparently hasnít calmed down that much.

The troubled outfielder had been enjoying what Rays officials have said was a seemingly quiet and successful return to the field with the Licey team in the Dominican Republic - until Thursday night.

Dukes reacted angrily after being called out on strikes in the ninth inning and was ejected after going chest-to-chest with the umpire, and had to be restrained by several teammates at different times.

ìIt got a little ugly,íí said Jesus Campos, VP of baseball operations for the host Gigantes team. ìIf it wasnít for (teammate) Andy Tracy holding him back, things could have gotten a lot worse. ... It definitely wasnít a safe situation for the umpire because (Dukes) is a big guy."
He's a crazy mother fucker.

Horseshit. Plain and simple. this is just a Tampa newspaper overreacting to a guy getting tossed on a balls and strikes argument and overblowing it to sell newspapers.
Don't believe me? Here's the video from the game.

This was such a non-issue that none of the DR newspapers mentioned him getting tossed in their game recounts.
Around 5:10-5:15 you'll see Brayan Pena get called out at first and see the hissy fit he threw, then compare that to Dukes at 5:24-5:27 who only jaws at the guy. He wasn't even near the ump when he got tossed, he chest bumped him after the toss. Shodding reporting from Tampa (but what do you expect, everything in Tampa is shoddy).
The quote from the Gigantes team is also the opposing team in the game.
Again. Horseshit.
