Sim Schedule

Post by Cardinals »

5/4: Mar. 29-Apr. 1 (DL Update Database, players to be DISABLED/ACTIVATED)
5/5: Apr. 2-5 (DL Update, players can be ACTIVATED)
5/6: Apr. 6-8 (DL/TRANSACTION Database, players DISABLED & ACTIVATED)
5/7: Apr.9-12 (DL Database, players ACTIVATED)
5/8: Apr. 13-15 (DL Database, players DISABLED & ACTIVATED)
5/9: Apr. 16-19 (DL Database, players ACTIVATED)
5/10: Apr. 20-22 (DL/Transaction Database, players DISABLED & ACTIVATED)
5/11: Apr. 23-26 (DL Database, players ACTIVATED)
5/12: Apr. 27-29 (DL Database, players DISABLED and ACTIVATED)
5/13: Apr. 30-May3 (DL/Transaction database, players ACTIVATED)
5/14: May 4-6 (DL Database, players DISABLED and ACTIVATED)
5/15: May 7-10 (DL database, players ACTIVATED)
5/16: May 11-13 (DL database, players DISABLED and ACTIVATED)
5/17: May 14-17 (DL/Transaction database, players ACTIVATED)

This is a bit more aggressive than years past because we're further along in the season. If we did 2-2-3, it would really have the sim schedule delayed into the end of May, and I don't think that's a feasible option.

PLEASE REMEMBER: Injuries are according to the SIM CALENDAR. Players must be disabled for Monday games in the sim, if they landed on the DL prior to Sunday (don't make this more complicated than it is - think about how we handle them normally).

I'll update transactions every Sunday and Thursday database according to our reality calendar, as I've done in years past.

If you have questions, please reach out to me. If you need me to take care of your roster, you MUST email rosters@ibcleague.com. I'm only doing that if people are away/on vacation/something bad happened, so don't abuse that.

Maybe I'm a pessimist but I'm worried this will lead to a shit ton of inadvertent DL violations (my head is spinning about the precise days I'll need to send down my rotating cast of injured infielders) JP any chance you would consider deactivating guys as you sim? Then guys can send in MPs to activate if they are paying attention but we won't have to worry about a stud pitcher getting an extra start because someone was busy the wrong day.

Your head would be spinning regardless. It's just every other day for deactivating players, really.

I highly suggest making a spreadsheet with sim dates/ real dates, and who to add and remove from the DL. It'll make it easier. It's not as overwhelming as it looks, but it does certainly take effort.

I'll do my best I can to deactivate as we go, but it's certainly adding an extra layer of work for me. I'd prefer if we all managed to be active for two weeks.

Maybe a good middle ground would be sending out a link to the proper injury post with each database?

For opening day, teams need to look at the injury lists through March 26:

Need to include all of the guys who hit the DL on opening day as well. Those guys started the season on the DL in MLB so they do here too.

So, then the April 2 run of injuries has to be included even though opening day was the prior weekend? At any rate, that's this group of players: viewtopic.php?t=6749
