I'll argue against the illegal add. There's no possible way someone can look at 0.8 - Jack Joseph and determine that it's an A-ball pitcher! Nevermind the fact that I haven't been on Twitter or knew the Rangers were up to be released today (which I understand is irrelevant. I honestly thought it was the A's because of someone talking about their projections).

I signed him based on a Sickels report.

Either way, I understand the intent of people hawking Twitter to get a leg up - but there has to be some threshold here (perhaps for only guys 1.0 WAR and up?)

Either way, I'll use my 'money' and waiver position to try to keep the guy and chock it up to an unfortunate victim of timing.

Happened to me last year, I picked up a guy before the actual projection was out but the WAR projections and similar hitter/pitchers image was out, my pick up was reversed. I still agree with you John its stupid, but stupid precedence has been set.

I'm not trying to be a twat about it, but he's someone I was looking at too. I saw the comps had come out and didn't add him because of the rule in place, so I wanted to make my run for him.
