My bad guys. Fixed. However suggest that next year since we have no more 6th rounders that guys in my spot (conforming roster but non conforming draft roster) should have to fix it once we can sign 16 guys, i don't mind holding Bolt but I'm probably going to cut him again for a 16 anyway once that window opens

What was your roster before cuts? Conforming roster and non-conforming draft roster doesn't seem possible to me.Giants wrote:My bad guys. Fixed. I wouldn't call that a conforming roster, you'd have 41 non-draftees. The timing for when the 14- players become non-draftees is tricky, I don't switch them over until after the draft because if I did it earlier you'd have to drop ~5 immediately in order to sign anyone else.Giants wrote:It's possible because the 14 guys were still sitting on my draft roster (I miscounted and thought I'd have 10 15/16 guys).

I understand why, but in Jake's defense I also miscounted hence why I ended up dropping Alex Call after drafting him.. It happens.Dodgers wrote:I wouldn't call that a conforming roster, you'd have 41 non-draftees. The reason I mention it is that if you go into (for example) the 2016 draft with fewer 15- players than you have picks and there's a few days that pass between the end of the draft and the waiver date you're forced to make cuts and hold empty roster spots that could have gone to draft picks in past years. Minor point and not a huge deal at all just a thought.

I don't really agree. It's not 50 players total, it's 40 players and 10 players from the last 2 drafts. Just because you don't have 10 players from the last 2 drafts doesn't mean you should be able to keep more than 40 other players.Giants wrote:The reason I mention it is that if you go into (for example) the 2016 draft with fewer 15- players than you have picks and there's a few days that pass between the end of the draft and the waiver date you're forced to make cuts and hold empty roster spots that could have gone to draft picks in past years.
