So happy for you guys. On the one hand, it's just a game, just one game, and it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. On the other hand, it will change things for you in ways you never imagined. Enjoy every single moment of it. Congrats to all the Cubs fans out there, your families and your friends. Speaking for myself, and presumptuously all of Red Sox Nation, we couldn't be happier for you guys.

Was obviously pulling for the Indians, but I am happy for the true Cubbie fans out there, especially my Mom and her side of the family. I'm also happy that we don't have to give a shit about a "curse" anymore. I hope they don't become more insufferable because of this... but I won't hold my breath, Blackhawks fans are about as insufferable as it comes.

Thanks guys.

I'm equal parts happy and relieved. Joe Maddon did his best Dusty impersonation and they were able to overcome it. Exorcized so many demons last night, I'll finally be able to breathe while watching the Cubs in the playoffs. That 8th inning almost killed me. World Champa so sweet for myself, tons of friends and my family. Praise Theo.

I'm happy for y'all. Just please don't pull a post 2004 Boston fan base and become insufferable. Also, Joe Maddon, wow, maybe he's not nearly the manager we thought, pulled some Mathenyesque moves last night

I thought Maddon was pretty terrible the entire series, goes to show how good that team is to win in spite of him.

Congrat's, Cub's fans! It's good to see the last historical curse laid to rest.

Pretty awesome resume for Theo having orchestrated the Red Sox World Series run and now having a similar accomplishment under his watch with the Cubs.

Great news for Cardinals fans today as well!!!

Cardinals announced a three-year contract extension with manager Mike Matheny.

St. Louis missed the playoffs this year for the first time since 2010, when Tony La Russa was still manager. It's fair to question Matheny's in-game strategy and unnecessary tinkering, but he holds a 461-349 record in five years on the job. Even the saltiest Cardinals fans had to accept some type of contract extension was coming this offseason. The new deal runs through 2020.

Congrats Aaron and JP!

All I thought this entire series was if Tito replaced Tony we'd have at least one more title. Great to see we're leaving the dummy in charge

Still an impressive showing by the banged up Indians. No shame in hanging that pennant. I hope to see them back there soon.
