Outrage! LASERs in the Outfield!

I'm surprised it has taken this long for this to become an issue. For the most part, this sounds like petty gamesmanship by the Mets. Players have been 'marking' their spots with their cleats for probably as long as there has been a game of baseball. Such a system shouldn't be used in-game (no lasers on the field please), but pre-game setup? Do what you want, within the rules and as long as it's not harming anyone.
Baseball and winning are big money, if you're not taking every legal advantage that you can, then you're a damn fool.
