While the draft is roaring along...

Post by Guardians »

Bored and willing to toss some names out to see if there are any deals out there.

Billy Burns: I'm a big fan and he had a very solid rookie campaign, leading off 500 of his 550 at bats or so. He really impressed the A's and it's easy to see why: .294/.334/.392 5 HR 42 RBI 26 SB 70 R for a rookie who was on few people's radar going into last year. He's a switch hitter and had very solid splits last year as well: .285 as lefty vs righties and .315 as right vs. lefties. I've got him locked into either a starting or 4th OF role at the moment, but with Margot's strong projection, I am able to move Burns a little easier.

Alex Wood: Dodgers ZIPs still aren't out, but I suspect him having a solid year and being in LA will work out well for him. His K rate dipped in 2015, but his HR/FB rate held firm and he threw more innings with fewer starts, showing he can go further into games. His FIP was lower than his ERA and came out at the same fWAR as 2014, so I see him fitting in that 2-3 WAR range, which puts him in the top 40 or so of SP. Given that he's only 24, I'm only really looking to move him for an equivalent righty SP due to my rotation being lefty heavy at the moment.

Albert Pujols: No rush to move him. I'm banking on a projection in the ballpark of .270/.320 30 HR, which will play just fine. But I'm always willing to listen to those interested in adding power.

Bullpen: With the addition of Neil Ramirez this offseason, I've got a few RP more than I need. Willing to move one of the less sexy ones for cheaper or possibly one of the more quality ones for something significant. Inquire within
