I can get a room in Cooperstown for $500 a night, but my buddy said "looks like Albany or Syracuse".
I know a few of you have spent time in the area, does anyone know which would be the smoother commute each day to C-town, ALB or SYR?

Went to school up there. Both are similar travel to Cooperstown, so I'd stay in 'Cuse...and have a dinner at Dinosaur Barbeque.
However, I'd spend $500 in Cooperstown. A couple buddies from my college baseball team and I would spend a weekend in Cooperstown every year, and it's just such a cool little city. I think it's worth the spend. Cooperstown calls itself 'a drinking town with a baseball problem'...and I can tell you it's true from experience.
