World Series awards

Post by Royals »

Another idea I've kicked around in the past (obviously, there have been a lot) is some kind of trophy for the World Series Winners.
There have been a couple different ideas.
1. A unique trophy of some sort that travels, like the Stanley Cup. A continuously expanding placard on the base indicates all the winners.
2. Each winner gets their own trophy with name, team and year.
3. A team T-Shirt for the winner with their name on the back and the year as the number (i.e. 2005 as 05)

Personally, i like combining 1 and 3 together. Any thoughts or other ideas?

Let me make sure that you aren't talking about a literal trophy, but something that would appear as a graphic on the site. If you're serious, a traveling trophy is a no go because if I win the World Series there's no way I'm giving that thing up ever 8)

I am talking about a literal trophy. I'm leaning, personally, towards something goofy. I like the T-Shirt in conjunction with the travelling trophy because that way you have something to keep.

So, any thoughts on these concepts?
I'm leaning towards a T-shirt with the last name and year on the back with the team name on the front. I'd like to get the IBC logo on there somehow too.

I was a big fan of the Dodgers jersey you guys got me. What about "IBC Champs" for name and number being the year (if we can do 07). That would be sick.

Last name v. IBC Champs
Any opinions either way?

I'd like to keep this a surprise also, so please don't mention this to anyone yet.

Well I'd prefer last name, since then you won't be mocked when you where it in public...I thought since you wanted IBC on it that would be the best place, though preferably, it would just be an implied IBC.
