So I take it we are in for another 24 hours before your pick?Marlins wrote:Dammit. Jomar Reyes was my next pick.

Cederoth and deCarr were the next two guys in my queue if I didn't take Carbonell - and they were the next two guys drafted. Glad to see I'm valuing players correctly at this stage.

I'm not shocked...it's Gabe and prospects. I'm all for instituting a 12-hour draft rule past the third round, but it won't happen.Twins wrote:Consider me shocked that we had to skip Gabe at this point in the draft.BlueJays wrote:We're in the slow drag portion of the draft, a skip after 24 hours on a weekend pick and then the next guy doesn't make his pick immediately.

Everyone should consider it an improvement that I made it this far.Twins wrote:Consider me shocked that we had to skip Gabe at this point in the draft.BlueJays wrote:We're in the slow drag portion of the draft, a skip after 24 hours on a weekend pick and then the next guy doesn't make his pick immediately.

And what does everyone have to do that's so critical that the draft taking an extra day (or an extra week) is such a big deal?Tigers wrote:I'm not shocked...it's Gabe and prospects. It's a 3+ week process, it's never going to be zippy. Just look at any delay as a chance to do more research and waffling.Rangers wrote:The answer is that it saps the fun out of it for it to drag on and to not get to pick for a long time.
But I can't really talk right now since I went like seven hours without checking and the two guys in front of me went bang, bang quickly after the previous two.

It's only a 3+ week process because we take that long, not because it must take a certain amount of time. I'm not that bothered by the pace, just telling you why people groan when someone takes 24 hours.Padres wrote:It's a 3+ week process, it's never going to be zippy.
