IBC Games to Follow 9/15-9/21

Post by BlueJays »

Matchups worth following this week in IBC:

AL EAST
The Red Sox have their work cut out traveling to Pittsburgh to face JP's Juggernauts for 3 games followed by a trip to Baltimore to fend off the division foe Orioles. The Blue Jays will have an opportunity to pass the Orioles for the first Wild Card position by heading to Baltimore for 3 games followed by a 4 game series in New York against a rebuilding Yankees squad.

AL CENTRAL
The Tigers have an entire week to lock down their lead in the Central by first traveling to Minnesota for 3 games against the Twins followed by a trip down to Kansas City where the Royals will fight to get back into the playoff picture. The Twins will also be hosting the Indians for 3 games as they hope the frenzy in the East will open an opportunity to close the 3.5 game defecit they have in the race for the second Wild Card position.

AL WEST
The Rangers will attempt to build on their 9 game lead in the West as they travel to Oakland and Anaheim (or whatever the city is called this week) for 3 games a piece against division rivals.

NL EAST
The Phillies will be on a West Coast circus tour as they travel to San Diego for 4 games and Oakland for 3 games. Meanwhile the second place Marlins will stay on the East Coast for 3 games in New York against the Mets and 4 games at home against the Nationals.

NL CENTRAL
The Pirates will enjoy a full week in the Steel City with 3 games against the best record in the American League in the Boston Red Sox followed by 3 games against the Brewers. The Brewers will also be traveling to St. Louis for 3 games against the Cardinals. Meanwhile the Reds will enjoy an easier schedule against the bottom 2 teams in the central with trips to St. Louis and Chicago for 3 games a series.

NL WEST
The Dodgers have a full week of road games with 3 games against Colorado and 4 games against the Cubs. The Rockies will fight at home to build some breathing room against the Reds/Brewers with match ups against division rivals with 3 against the Dodgers and 4 against the DBacks.

IF THE SEASON ENDED TODAY:
AL SELIG GAME: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles
Red Sox would host WC winner
Texas Rangers vs. Detroit Tigers

NL SELIG GAME: Colorado Rockies vs. Miami Marlins
Pittsburgh Pirates would host WC winner
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philladelphia Phillies

EDIT* Colorado Rockies lead WC2
