Looking for one or two NL GMs

Looking for one or two NL GMs

Post by Guardians »

Sander and I have been talking about some ways to improve the league/boost participation and we've landed on an idea of a power rankings committee. With the two of us and a third GM (maybe 4th if there's interest), we're going to re-start a consistent power rankings column. In the past few years, they've been done semi-regularly and always draw interest and comments. This would be more consistent and less flashy, without the semi-nude photos.
We'll do these like many fantasy sports rankings where the gms will rank and we'll average the ranks to create the rankings with a short line about the team and an upcoming schedule. Our goal is to do this twice a month with maybe a larger preseason and All-Star Break editions (maybe photos. Maybe). So, if we had three or four, the obligation would only be once every two months or so to do the writing. If you're interested, post here. If we get it going in time, we could do a playoff version to see how they go.

We could still have the semi-regular semi-nude analysis the usual guys put together. The guys that are usually doing those, however are pretty busy keeping up the regular work needed to run the league, so perhaps some others can chip in to help keep the league interesting to everybody.

The idea is to make it easier for guys to keep up with what's going on in the league. I know when I wasn't competitive, I didn't really care what other teams were doing since it was too much work to see what everybody was doing.

Hooray for a rankings committee...boo if the August mid-season hot girls rankings go away.

If JP and Aaron just want to do the mid-season rankings that would be great and let the other 4 do the semi-monthly smaller postings.

No way. The girls rankings need to happen once a year.

JP retiring...well I would be down to do the two major ranking posts if Aaron isn't retiring as well. Then I get a say on themes while my team should be doing better but isn't.

I'll do a themed opening day one every year and if JP wants to do the annual ASB break hot chicks one I'll do that, otherwise I'm retired too

What will we do without our wrestling & girl themed power rankings?

I'm dead serious too.

Also was a big fan of greek mythology one.. Andrew.

Themed rankings are always good, but I could live without themes if we could get a more consistent one... Themes can happen on special days. Opening Day. Allstar Break. Post Season.. Post Draft. :P
