IBC Meet Up 2015

Post by Yankees »

Spent a couple days watching an almost prospect-less Harrisburg-New Hampshire series...and doing some light AFL reading...and it hit me.

What about doing the meet up many of us have talked about in AZ during the AFL next year? Flying/staying in AZ is reasonable, we could knock off a bunch of games seeing real prospects, and we're far enough out to start planning for it with or without families and with or without money.

Thoughts?

I've been talking about going down to AZ for spring training since the Reds moved down there for the last couple years.

Now that I've got a new job that affords me a ton of vacation time I would give this serious discussion and merit.

I'm always down in AZ for a week during ST. It would be great to catch up with you hooligans. I believe Nate is the only one in the league that I've met.

Any runners in the group we could always schedule it around the Shamrock Run up in Scottsdale. Should be some decent "pace setters" in that race and plenty of beer afterwards.

I'm definitely interested in this sort of thing. Spring Training, AFL...either would work for me (given enough warning!)

Depending on spring training dates coinciding with when my school is on spring break I might be interested

Having done both multiple times the AFL is a much much better idea, we can literally rent a mansion in one of the suburbs for a weekend, and you get to watch the prospects with 500 of your closest friends with the airfare being the most expensive part of the trip. Would definitely be down for the AFL if we can get that together. Spring Training a little bit less, it's just a much bigger hassle and 4x the price.
