He and I played on a summer travel team for a couple years through high school, and my last high school at bat was actually against him (went to rival schools, flew out to left field in the regional championship against him).

He almost exclusively played left field through school (and I might add he played left and I played center and we hit in the 3 and 4 spots of the order), but by his junior year started to gain a lot of arm strength, so he was moved to 3b. According to the article I guess he's had some time at SS and 2B, which is surprising, because I remember him bobbling every ball hit his way in high school.

Really nice simple guy though. One of the few guys on that team that didn't annoy the living hell out of me. He had monster power then, and it looks like he still has it. Wish him the best.
