I know there are a couple wrestling fans out there, so this post is for them. So one of my boys from growing up runs the backstage and online video production for WWE, so I left work early yesterday (4:30ish) to get a little tour backstage, see the set-up, etc. Saw a couple people, but nothing huge.
I haven't watched wrestling in years, so during the Main Event tapings I didn't recognize anyone...until Charles Robinson and his flowing blonde hair hit the stage.
I had 7 other guys from my sales team with me, and we all started going nuts for Robinson during the match. I texted my buddy that...and got this back from him:
"Hey Brett - this is Charles Robinson on Brian's phone. Just wanted to say how much I appreciated the cheering. You guys are awesome."
Had a drink with my buddy afterward and he said Charles really was geeked when he showed him...pretty awesome.
Oh yea...we also sat 2nd row on the floor...

Back in college I used to work at a tobacco shop. WWE was in town for RAW at Bob Carpenter Center. I was working on a Saturday morning when 3 big dudes walked in. About 10 seconds later a fourth walked in and it was John Cena. I am not the type to geek out, so I went about my business until Cena and another guy called me over for cigar suggestions (no clue what I actually gave them). They ended buying a bunch of cigars and nudie mags (seriously). I didn't know the other three dudes because I quit watching years ago. My buddy is a huge wresting fan and helped me find out one of the guys was Cody Rhodes and another was Ted DiBiase's son. Still don't know who the 4th was.
